My Personal Challenges of Travelling with FND
Living with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) has made me much more aware of walking, as it’s my legs that have been most affected.
For me, the main challenges have been:
- Balance issues — I often felt like I was about to fall over and very disconnected from the ground.
- Tripping — in regular shoes, I’d catch my foot constantly.
- Heavy legs — my left leg feels like I’ve run a marathon (without doing anything)
