Design a Flexible Portfolio Career to Fund Your Travels (Podcast)
Are you desperate to quit the 9-5?
Do you want freedom and flexibility?
Perhaps a Portfolio Career is the way to go…
I was very happy to be invited back on to Holly Worton’s Podcast ‘Into the Woods’ to chat about how to go about creating a flexible portfolio career to fund your travel adventures.
I was first on the show back in December to talk about another of my favourite topics – solo travel when you’re in a committed relationship. As soon as that episode was wrapped up, Holly invited me back after browsing my blog and reading my tips for getting started on creating a flexible portfolio career. The topic was very timely for Holly, as she was in the process of transitioning from big long term work projects to taking on smaller ones, like book translation and writing articles for other websites.
For me, building a portfolio career, was life changing and I don’t say that lightly. It took me from a dark place of stress and anxiety, in a job that ground me down on a daily basis to a place of freedom, where I could breathe deep and be in control of my daily life. It gave me the flexibility to live life on my terms and explore my passion for travel.
Having a portfolio career has not only give me work freedom, it’s also given me the mental space to create this website and pop off to the Canary Islands and Sri Lanka so I could write a book on solo travel in a relationship.
