As a midlife woman with a chronic health condition who travels solo, my aim is to shape journeys around wellbeing —from traditional healing spaces, restorative accommodation, retreats and spas to sound baths and nourishing cafés…

The right environment matters— this means places that are safe, supportive and age-appropriate.

That’s why Orchids to Olives Wellbeing Spaces offers something different: a curated approach to wellness travel that honours your body, your pace, and your journey.

How I Choose Wellbeing Places

This is not a list of the most luxurious hotels, the trendiest retreats, or the places everyone is talking about.

Wellbeing Places are chosen with midlife women in mind — particularly those managing , fluctuating energy, chronic health conditions, anxiety, stress or simply a need for deep rest.

Every place featured is also considered through the lens of how safe, supported, and at ease it feels for a woman travelling solo.

These are environments that truly calm the nervous system, reduce strain, and allow you to truly soften into your time away.
