Solo travel on your own terms

What if your next trip was designed with your health in mind — not held back by it?

Who is this space for?

It’s for women living with chronic illness and hidden disabilities who long to explore the world — solo and on their own terms.

Travelling with a chronic health condition can bring extra considerations, but it doesn’t mean giving up the freedom, adventure and joy of travel.

Through shared stories, practical tools and honest reflections, you’ll find guidance to help you make confident choices, listen to your body and shape travel around your health, energy and wellbeing.

I share my experiences as a woman over 50, offering insights from my journeys with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), whilst navigating the changes of menopause. This is the lens through which I see the world – however, women of all ages are welcome.

You are not alone — and your adventure doesn’t have to wait.

Is it time to reclaim your freedom?

There comes a moment — sometimes quiet, sometimes fiery — when you realise: you’re not waiting anymore.
Not waiting for someone to come with you.
Not waiting for your health to be perfect.
Not waiting for a better time to start living your life.

If you’re a woman navigating chronic illness, especially in the second half of life, this moment might be stirring inside you right now.

Maybe it’s a longing you’ve carried for years — to travel solo, to explore on your terms, to feel free again.

This isn’t just a journey across geography.

It’s a journey toward something deeper: Wholeness.

After three years of living with chronic illness, I’ve learned that caring for both my physical and mental wellbeing isn’t optional — it’s essential.

Whether it’s a weekend getaway or a long-haul journey, these are the things that help me feel balanced, supported, and ready for whatever the adventure brings.

Physical, mental & Emotional

What is a Chronic Health Condition?

A chronic health condition is a health issue that lasts for a long time and may require ongoing management and care. Some conditions can be well managed with treatment and lifestyle adjustments, while others may fluctuate or affect daily life in less predictable ways.

Some chronic conditions are visible, while others are not. You may look perfectly well on the outside while managing fatigue, pain, mobility challenges, digestive symptoms, emotional difficulties or other issues that influence how you travel.

Chronic health conditions can affect the body, mind and emotional wellbeing. They include physical conditions such as diabetes, asthma, arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, migraines and multiple sclerosis (MS); digestive conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety.

You don’t need to fit a particular diagnosis to recognise that your health affects the way you travel.

The important thing is understanding what you need to feel comfortable, confident and supported while you’re away.
